From Friday 6 to Saturday 14 February, Westeinde will come to life with film screenings that share surprising visual stories every day from 8 p.m. until late at night. Westeinde will be temporarily transformed into a walk-through cinema. Shop fronts, homes and workspaces will be turned into film screens, giving historic facades a new purpose. Contemporary video works by international artists will be projected silently from the inside onto the windows and facades of historic buildings. The films refer directly or indirectly to the night, the city, cinema and everything that takes place in the shadows of everyday reality. During Sleepy Eyes, attention is briefly diverted, time is frozen, and the gaze is slowed down or accelerated.
